Sometimes an old tattoo needs a little attention. Sometimes it needs an entirely new identity.
Reworking an existing piece comes with its own set of creative challenges, from respecting what's already there to finding new possibilities within its limitations. Here's a collection of tattoos given a second life, whether through subtle refinements, thoughtful additions, or complete transformations. While I never want to say no to anyone, all reworks/coverups are completely dependent on what is being covered, what results we’re looking for, and if we can manage expectations of what we want vs what is possible.
Old beginnings, new possibilities.
